Job summary

Sri Ternak Group of Companies in Malaysia is seeking a logistics coordinator to manage import/export shipments from overseas suppliers, ensuring timely clearance and compliance with Customs/MAQIS and authorities. You will work with warehouse, purchasing, and finance, liaising with freight forwarders and port authorities to keep deliveries on schedule and accurate documentation.

Fresh graduates to 3 years experience welcome; the role requires strong coordination, cost awareness, and proactive

Qualifications

• Import/Export activities experience or knowledge.
• Retail or Wholesale industry familiarity is a plus.
• Knowledge of shipping, freight forwarding, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate export/import shipments with overseas suppliers and internal teams.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and port authorities for updates and issue resolution.
• Ensure timely clearance and documentation, including permits and licenses.
• Monitor costs and avoid demurrage, detention, and other charges.
• Track ETA, clearance status, and delivery timelines to stakeholders.

Job description

Coordinate import/export shipments from overseas suppliers through sea and air freight, ensuring timely clearance, compliance with Customs/MAQIS and relevant authorities' requirements, communicate with warehouse/cold chain etc. for smooth delivery between Port and outlet/warehouse.

Key responsibilities

Coordinate closely with internal teams (warehouse, purchasing, finance) to ensure smooth shipment flow.

Liaise with external parties such as freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs agents, and port authorities for timely updates and issue resolution.

Maintain effective communication to ensure alignment on shipment schedules, documentation, and delivery timeline.

Process all bills and invoices (freight, duties, SST, port charges) accurately and on time.

Monitor shipment-related costs to avoid unnecessary charges (e.g., demurrage, detention).

Track shipment status and provide timely updates on ETA, clearance status, and delivery timelines to internal stakeholders.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date import/export transaction records.

Monitor shipment arrivals, container discharge, and coordinate timely customs clearance.

Verify all import/export documents for permit and license applications.

Ensure all import/export activities comply with local regulations (Customs, Health Department, Halal, Port Authorities, and local laws).

About you

Import/Export Activities, Retail or Wholesale industry knowledge, Cold & Dry Warehousing, or Procurement experience

Qualifications in Shipping / Maritime Logistic/Transportation Management, Maritime Law, Maritime Supply Chain, or Business Admin/Management

Fresh graduate to 3 years experience
