Private Advertiser in Miri Division, Sarawak, is seeking a skilled Shipping Clerk to join our team. This full-time role coordinates the efficient shipment of products to customers worldwide, ensuring accuracy and timeliness at every step.

You will manage daily shipping operations, liaise with customers, carriers, and customs officials, maintain precise shipment records, and collaborate with production and sales to keep shipments on track.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in shipping or logistics, preferably in manufacturing or wood products.
• Strong knowledge of import/export and customs procedures for international shipments.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficient in shipping software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day shipping operations, prepare and process shipping documents, arrange freight logistics, and ensure customs compliance.

About the role

Seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic team in Miri Division, Sarawak. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for coordinating the efficient and timely shipment of our products to customers around the world.

What you'll be doing

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the shipping department, including preparing and processing shipping documents, arranging freight logistics, and ensuring compliance with import/export and customs regulations
• Liaise with customers, carriers, and customs officials to ensure the smooth and timely delivery of goods
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, including tracking numbers, delivery status, and any issues or discrepancies
• Assist with inventory management and coordination with the production team to ensure adequate supply of products for shipment
• Collaborate with the sales and logistics teams to provide updates on shipment status and address any customer inquiries or concerns
• Stay up-to-date with changes in import/export regulations and customs procedures to ensure compliance

What we're looking for

• At least 2 years of experience in a shipping or logistics-related role, preferably within the manufacturing or wood products industry
• Strong understanding of import/export and customs procedures, as well as experience in coordinating international shipments
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Proficient in using shipping and logistics software, as well as Microsoft Office applications
