The Service Engineer is responsible for conducting service interventions, repairing industrial robots, and performing preventive maintenance. This includes diagnosing and resolving technical issues, ensuring the reliable operation of robots, and supporting customers in maintaining optimal performance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform on-site service interventions, including troubleshooting and repairing industrial robots.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure long-term reliability and operational performance of robots.
- Diagnose and resolve technical problems efficiently and accurately.
- Document service activities, including detailed reports on issues identified, actions taken, and recommendations for future improvements.
- Assist in the installation and initial setup of robots at customer sites when required.
- Stay updated on the latest technological advancements in robotics and participate in technical training as needed.
- Provide feedback to the technical team for continuous improvement of products and services.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education in Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics or a related technical field. Technician level in mechanics and/or electronics should be sufficient.
- At least 2 years of experience in industrial robotics or similar technologies, with hands-on exposure to servicing and repairing machinery.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Basic knowledge of robot programming and automation systems.
- Valid driving license; active driver.
- Communicative level of English and Malay, capable of addressing technical requirements, and speak in Chinese would be a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Regular travel to customer sites for service interventions and maintenance activities.
- Flexible working hours may be required to accommodate customer needs.
Reporting Structure:
- Reports to General Manager of ESTUN Aisa.
