Job summary

MOBA Asia Sdn. Bhd., the Asia-Pacific regional Sales and Service office of Moba Group, seeks a Technical Service Engineer to provide hands-on technical support and servicing of MOBA equipment at customer sites across Asia.

You will undergo 6-month structured training and may have international exposure, including a potential 3-week training at MOBA HQ in Holland. The role offers progression to greater responsibility as skills develop.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Electromechanical Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in industrial machinery or field service.
• Basic knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and reading diagrams.
• Knowledge of PLC controls, industrial automation or PC-based systems is advantageous.
• Strong troubleshooting and hands-on problem-solving.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Willing to travel extensively, including overseas and short-notice assignments.
• Comfortable in customer production environments, including poultry industry.
• Possess a valid driving licence.
• Willing to learn, adaptable and able to work in different customer environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Service Engineers with installation, commissioning, servicing, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of MOBA equipment at customer sites.
• Support diagnosis of electrical, electronic, electromechanical and control-system faults.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams, technical drawings and service documentation.
• Gain hands-on exposure to PLC controls, industrial automation and PC-based systems.
• Conduct technical inspections and preventive maintenance according to service requirements.
• Travel to customer sites across Asia and other locations as required.
• Maintain good communication with customers during service assignments.
• Prepare service reports and maintain proper documentation of work performed.
• Report technical findings and service issues to Senior Service Engineer and/or Service Manager.

Based in Kuala Lumpur, MOBA Asia supports customers across the region with equipment installation, technical service and after‑sales support.

We are looking for a Technical Service Engineer to join our regional Service Team, providing hands‑on technical support, troubleshooting and servicing of Moba equipment at customer sites across Asia.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Service Engineers with the installation, commissioning, servicing, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of MOBA equipment at customer sites
• Support the diagnosis of electrical, electronic, electromechanical and control-system faults
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams, technical drawings and service documentation
• Gain hands‑on exposure to PLC controls, industrial automation and PC‑based systems
• Conduct technical inspections and preventive maintenance according to service requirements
• Identify equipment issues and assist with appropriate corrective actions
• Provide professional and responsive technical support to customers
• Travel to customer sites across Asia and other locations as required
• Maintain good communication with customers during service assignments
• Prepare service reports and maintain proper documentation of work performed
• Report technical findings and service issues to the Senior Service Engineer and/or Service Manager
• Coordinate with MOBA's regional and international technical teams where required
• Comply with MOBA's safety requirements and customer‑site health and safety procedures
• Participate in technical training and development programmes

Career Development

• International Exposure: Potential opportunity for approximately 3 weeks of training at MOBA's HQ in Holland, subject to approval

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field
• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in industrial machinery, equipment servicing or field service
• Basic knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and ability to read electrical diagrams
• Knowledge of PLC controls, industrial automation or PC‑based systems will be an advantage
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills with a hands‑on approach
• Good communication skills in English
• Willing to travel extensively, including overseas and short‑notice assignments
• Comfortable working in customer production environments, including the poultry industry
• Possess a valid driving licence
• Willing to learn, adaptable and comfortable working in different customer environments
