Job summary

Fastems is seeking an Experienced Service/Maintenance engineer to provide on-site and remote support across Malaysia. You will perform preventive maintenance, attend breakdowns, and assist with installation of new capital equipment at customer sites.

You will maintain MMS communications with CNC controllers, recalibrate robotics, and perform root-cause analysis while traveling across Malaysia up to 70% of the time.

Qualifications

• Experienced service/maintenance engineer with territory field service and frequent travel.
• Experience in high-precision production environments with electro-mechanical fault-finding.
• Mechatronics or mechanical automation background with CS knowledge.
• Experience in CNC, robotics, or automation systems.
• Fluent professional English and Mandarin Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Provide service support to Fastems customers throughout Malaysia.
• Perform preventive maintenance on Fastems equipment at customer sites.
• Advise clients on spare-parts management.
• Maintain MMS communication with CNC controllers.
• Recalibrate robotics and handling robots; ensure safety checks.
• Attend breakdowns and perform root-cause analysis.
• Install and supervise mechanical assembly of new systems.
• Support test, commissioning and ERP roll-out within the territory.
• Act as conduit for communication between customer and Service Manager.
• Assess complex technical requirements and advise suitable solutions.
