Job summary

MR. ROBOT is seeking a Robotics Service Engineer to install, commission, maintain, troubleshoot, and provide after-sales support for deployed robotic systems at customer sites.

In MR. ROBOT's fast-moving environment, you will work with Robotics Integration, Application Engineering, and other technical teams to ensure reliability and performance in real-world conditions. Degree in robotics-related field and 1–3 years' experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or a related technical field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in robotics, automation, field service, equipment maintenance, system integration, or a related technical role.
  • Hands-on understanding of electrical, mechanical, electronic, and/or robotic systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a practical, hands-on approach.
  • Comfortable working with Linux environments.
  • Familiarity with ROS/ROS2 concepts or robotic platforms is an added advantage.
  • Exposure to NVIDIA Jetson platforms or similar edge computing hardware is an added advantage.
  • Basic understanding of networking, sensors, system connectivity, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation, wiring diagrams, manuals, and system specifications.
  • Comfortable working directly at customer sites and in operational environments.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Customer-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership and responsiveness.
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with engineering and operations teams.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites and provide field support when required.
  • Strong interest in AI, robotics, and automation technologies is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, setup, testing, and commissioning of robotic systems at customer sites.
  • Verify system configuration, connectivity, safety requirements, and operational readiness before handover.
  • Support site preparation and coordinate technical requirements for successful robot installation.
  • Conduct system checks and ensure deployed solutions are operating according to required specifications.
  • Maintain service records, maintenance reports, troubleshooting logs, and technical documentation.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, electrical, mechanical, connectivity, sensor, and system-related issues.
  • Provide on-site and remote troubleshooting support to customers.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to relevant teams and support root cause analysis.
  • Support robotics environments involving ROS2/AimRT and NVIDIA Jetson platforms where applicable.
  • Monitor robot status, sensors, connectivity, and system behaviour during troubleshooting and maintenance activities.
  • Use telemetry and system logs to identify and trace technical issues.
  • Ensure service activities are carried out safely within customer environments.
  • Share field observations to support product and system improvements.

Job Summary:

The Robotics Service Engineer is responsible for the installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and after-sales technical support of deployed robotic systems across customer sites and operational environments.

In MR. ROBOT's fast-moving environment, the Robotics Service Engineer serves as a key technical support function after deployment, ensuring robotic systems continue to operate reliably and effectively in real-world conditions. The role works closely with Robotics Integration, Application Engineering, and other technical teams to resolve field issues, maintain system performance, and support customers throughout the operational lifecycle of deployed robots.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform installation, setup, testing, and commissioning of robotic systems at customer sites.
  • Verify system configuration, connectivity, safety requirements, and operational readiness before handover.
  • Support site preparation and coordinate technical requirements for successful robot installation.
  • Conduct system checks and ensure deployed solutions are operating according to required specifications.
Preventive Maintenance & Servicing
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and routine system health checks for deployed robotic systems.
  • Inspect robotic hardware, sensors, electrical and mechanical components, network connectivity, and related systems.
  • Identify potential equipment or system issues before they result in operational downtime.
  • Perform calibration, adjustment, configuration, and component replacement where required.
  • Maintain service schedules and ensure maintenance activities are completed according to required standards.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, electrical, mechanical, connectivity, sensor, and system-related issues.
  • Perform corrective maintenance, repair, component replacement, configuration, and calibration where required.
  • Diagnose field issues such as network communication faults, sensor drift, connectivity problems, and system errors.
  • Provide on-site and remote troubleshooting support to customers.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to Robotics Integration or relevant engineering teams and support root cause analysis.
Robotics System & Field Support
  • Support robotics environments involving ROS2/AimRT and NVIDIA Jetson platforms where applicable.
  • Monitor robot status, sensors, connectivity, and system behaviour during troubleshooting and maintenance activities.
  • Use available robot-client/server telemetry and system logs to identify and trace technical issues.
  • Support restoration of robotic systems following system faults or operational interruptions.
  • Ensure service activities are carried out safely within customer operational environments.
Customer & After-Sales Technical Support
  • Serve as a technical point of contact for customers regarding deployed robotic systems.
  • Respond to technical issues and service requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide basic technical guidance and operational support to customer users.
  • Support customer training and knowledge transfer relating to robot operation and basic troubleshooting where required.
  • Maintain clear communication with customers regarding technical issues, service activities, and resolution status.
  • Maintain accurate service records, maintenance reports, troubleshooting logs, and technical documentation.
  • Document recurring failures, corrective actions, replacement parts, and system performance issues.
  • Work closely with Robotics Integration, Application Engineering, AI, and Operations teams to resolve field issues.
  • Share field observations and recurring failure patterns to support product and system improvements.
  • Contribute to improving service procedures, troubleshooting guidelines, maintenance practices, and overall robot reliability.
