Job summary

QES Group of Companies is seeking a Service Engineer based in Shah Alam to deliver on-site technical support for semiconductor equipment and metrology systems. You will perform installation, qualification, handover, and training for distributors and customers.

The role requires a Diploma/Bachelor in Electrical & Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering, 2–3 years in a related field, and willingness to travel across Malaysia. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply, with own transport.

Service Engineer (Based in Shah Alam)

General Responsibilities

• To provide technical support and troubleshooting services for Semiconductor equipment.
• Plan of regular customer visit to promote service support, spare parts and optional accessories.
• Prepare service weekly schedule and weekly activities report.
• To provide pre-sales support, which included the following:
• In house and on-site demonstration.
• Provides documentation support (installation manual, product operation manual and etc) to customers.
• Provides relevant support (product buyoff report, installation report and etc) to the sales team.
• To provide after sales support, which included the following:
• Install, set up, and commission metrology systems at customer facilities.
• Perform equipment qualification, acceptance testing, and customer handover.
• Provides on-site training to distributors and customers.
• Monitoring equipment operation performance according to specifications.
• Provides documentation support to customers.
• Provides spare parts quotation to distributors and customers.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, optical and basic software system issues.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers. Perform repair activities to minimize equipment downtime.
• Respond promptly to service calls and elevate complex issues when necessary.
• Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times and streamline work processes.
• Work closely with other departments, such as Sales & Marketing Department, to align service strategies with overall business goals or Engineering Dept. to solve equipment problems.
• Other duties assigned by superior from time to time.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Electrical & Electronic/Mechatronic Engineering only.
• Candidate with min. 2-3 years experiences in Semiconductor, Automation & Mechatronic background is an added advantage.
• Fresh graduate is welcome to apply.
• Must possess own car for travelling.
• Willing to travel within Malaysia or oversea.
