Job summary

Millice Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Technical Support Engineer (Semiconductor) to install, commission, maintain, troubleshoot and repair customer equipment. You will train customers and coordinate status with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely field service reports and accurate quotations for spare parts or upgrades.

Job description

Technical Support Engineer (Semiconductor)

• Perform on-site installation, commission, maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair of customer's semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
• Provide training to customers on the use and maintenance of the equipment.
• Coordinate and communicate the status of assigned jobs to internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare field service reports on customer support activity.
• Support the generation of quotations for spare parts, services or retrofit / upgrading needs.
• Manage and monitor customer outstanding service issues, coordinate and elevate for quick resolution.
• Support pre-sales activities or assigned task by supervisor or manager.

Requirements

• At least a diploma, degree or related certification in engineering or electronics.
• At least 3 years of relevant working experience with semiconductor and electronics manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with tape lamination, tape removal, wafer mounting, wafer grinding, wafer dicing, wafer scribing, wafer breaking, UV irradiation, or relevant semiconductor manufacturing Experience with the use, operation or servicing of machines from Takatori, Lintec, Nitto and others will have added advantage.
• Required to travel overseas on short notice.
• Opportunities for overseas training.

• Can work independently and yet is a strong team player.

This position will be based in Kuala Lumpur.
