Job summary

Carsem (M) Sdn. Bhd in Ipoh, Malaysia seeks an experienced Strategic Operations Leader to develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, drive organization-wide performance improvements, and lead multiple operations teams toward high performance and professional growth.

You will steer process transformation using Lean Six Sigma, Agile, and digital initiatives, collaborate with HODs and customers, manage risk and budgets, and ensure on-time, cost-effective delivery of strategic test

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electronics, electrical, mechatronics, operations management, general engineering, or related field.
Minimum 15 years in semiconductor backend (OSAT or IDM) and progressive engineering and operations management experience with team leadership responsibilities.
At least 5 years in a leadership role managing test operations.
Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Proven track record in ramp-up and capacity management.
Proven track record of leading large-scale test engineering and operational transformations and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

Strategic Operations Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive test operational strategies aligned with business objectives, driving organization-wide performance improvements.
Team Management and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop multiple operations teams, ensuring high performance, professional growth, and succession planning.
Test Process Transformation: Design and implement large-scale process improvements, leveraging advanced methodologies like Lean Six Sigma, Agile, and digital transformation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with HODs, Managers and external stakeholders (Customers) to align on test operational initiatives with strategic business goals.
Performance Test Analytics and KPI Management: Establish comprehensive performance measurement systems, analyse complex operational data, and drive data-driven decision making.
Budget and Resource Management: Deliver test revenue target, oversee operational budgets, optimize resource allocation, and ensure cost-effective delivery of test operational objectives.
Risk Management and Compliance: Identify operational risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Technology and Systems Integration: Lead technology implementations, system optimizations, and digital transformation initiatives to enhance operational capabilities.
Change Management: Champion organizational change initiatives, manage stakeholder expectations, and ensure smooth transitions during operational transformations.
Strategic Project Portfolio Management: Oversee multiple high-impact projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and strategic alignment.
