Rayxen Tech Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an IT Technician to diagnose and troubleshoot desktop and laptop hardware/software issues. You will repair, upgrade, and configure systems, assemble custom PCs, and install Windows applications.
On-site support includes networking, CCTV installation, and processing service requests. You will document steps and support junior staff. The role requires IT/CS/CE or related degree and 2–3 years hands-on experience, with strong customer service and communication
Diagnose and troubleshoot complex desktop, laptop, hardware, software and operating system issues.
Perform PC/laptop repair, component replacement, upgrades, formatting and system configuration.
Assemble, configure, optimize and test custom desktop and gaming PCs.
Install and troubleshoot Windows, drivers, applications and related software.
Perform hardware testing and identify faulty components such as RAM, SSD, motherboard, GPU, PSU and other components.
Install, configure and troubleshoot LAN, Wi‑Fi, routers, switches and other networking equipment.
Install, configure and troubleshoot CCTV cameras, NVR/DVR and related surveillance equipment.
Handle printer, peripheral and other IT equipment setup and troubleshooting.
Perform on‑site installation, maintenance and technical support for customers.
Conduct testing and quality checks before repaired or newly configured equipment is returned to customers.
Provide technical advice and recommend suitable solutions or upgrades based on customer requirements.
Escalate product warranty or hardware issues to suppliers/distributors when required.
Maintain proper service records, troubleshooting notes and technical documentation.
Manage technical jobs and ensure assigned cases are completed within reasonable turnaround times.
Guide, train and supervise Junior Technicians on troubleshooting, installation and proper work procedures.
Assist in establishing technical SOPs, checklists and service standards.
Coordinate with the Sales team on technical requirements, quotations and solution recommendations.
Keep up to date with new computer hardware, networking, CCTV, AI PCs and emerging technologies.
Maintain tools, workshop equipment and technical work areas in good condition.
Perform other technical duties assigned by management.
Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Networking or related field is preferred.
Minimum 2–3 years of relevant hands‑on technical experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of desktop and laptop hardware troubleshooting.
Good knowledge of Windows installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
Experience in custom PC assembly and component troubleshooting.
Basic to intermediate networking knowledge, including LAN, Wi‑Fi, routers and switches.
Experience with CCTV installation and troubleshooting is an advantage.
Able to diagnose technical problems independently and systematically.
Able to communicate technical issues clearly to non‑technical customers.
Good customer service and communication skills.
Responsible, organized and able to manage multiple technical jobs.
Able to guide and support junior team members.
Possession of a valid driving licence is preferred for on‑site support.
