Job summary

BROOKS INSTRUMENT MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. is seeking an IT Technician to support production systems in a 24x7 manufacturing environment.

You will install, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network components, providing on-site and remote assistance to users, and ensuring minimal downtime. Applicants should hold a Diploma or higher in IT, have at least 1 year of relevant experience, and possess strong English communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher qualification in an IT-related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in an IT-related field is preferred.
• Exposure to manufacturing environments is an advantage.
• Understanding of Microsoft 365 (M365) environment is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and network systems.
• Diagnose and repair desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT-related equipment.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to users and clients.
• Install and maintain security systems, communication systems, and IT infrastructure.
• Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
• Monitor system performance and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Ensure all IT installations comply with company safety, quality, and IT standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation for all devices, system changes, and support activities.
• Assist with basic network setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Support Microsoft 365 (M365) user setup, basic administration, and troubleshooting.
• Work closely with team members and report issues clearly to supervisors.
