Job summary

CTC Global in Malaysia (Selangor) is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to plan and implement complex end-user computing solutions. You will define hardware/software standards, act as SME with vendors, and drive large internal projects with IT partners.

You will lead incident resolution, perform upgrades, and provide operational readiness. The role requires independent work, SDLC knowledge, and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s in CS/IT/Engineering or equivalent; or 5-7 years relevant experience.
• Experience with Mac OS, Windows 7/10, Windows Server, Active Directory and SQL.
• Experience with SCCM, Intune, Manage Engine or similar workstation management systems.
• Experience automating tasks across technical domains.
• Experience leading projects and building desktop applications.
• Knowledge of SDLC methodologies and processes.
• Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments.
• Team and customer service orientation; flexible and adaptable.
• Data collection, analysis and reporting with debugging skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong organization and planning.
• Ability to correlate technical actions to business impact.
• Willingness to adapt to change; relevant technical certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Independently plan and develop complex engineering designs supporting End User Computing solutions.
• Define hardware and software performance standards.
• As infrastructure SME, provide expertise with strategic technology vendors.
• Execute detailed infrastructure design for larger internal projects with IT stakeholders.
• Provide operational readiness through planning, coordination, performance tuning, incident resolution, software installation, and upgrades.
• Offer guidance in production incidents as needed.
• Maintain guidelines and schedules for solution engineering to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with business/architecture to maintain roadmaps and standards.
• Work with vendors to ensure final product aligns with design.
• Provide technology overviews to IT/Enterprise leadership at leadership forums.
• Mentor less experienced team members.

Education

Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication)

5-7 years systems engineering experience in lieu of degree

• Independently plan and develop complex engineering designs in support of the implementation of technology solutions covering the entire End User Computing stack
• Define hardware and software performance standards
• As infrastructure SME, provide expertise and knowledge in emerging technologies with strategic technology vendors

• Build collaborative relationships with the broader business and architecture communities to effectively maintain technical roadmaps and provide input into strategies and standards related to area of specialization
• Collaborate with vendors on infrastructure designs to ensure the final product is what was architected or designed

• Provide direction and assistance to less experienced team members as needed
• Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent
• In lieu of degree, 5-7 years of systems engineering experience
