Job summary

Norautron Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. invites an experienced Maintenance and Process Engineer to join our EMS operations in Batu Kawan, Penang.

You will lead maintenance, troubleshooting and process improvements for ASM SMT lines, laser marking, and stencil washing, ensuring high OEE and quality. Responsibilities include collaborating with process engineering on prototypes and mass production, validating processes, updating work instructions, and liaising with vendors and customers on product issues.

Qualifications

• Degree required in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years experience in SMT/ASM and PCBA.
• Knowledge of process control, SPC, and configuration.
• Experience with SMT equipment and related processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance schedule, failure analysis, maintenance & servicing of ASM SMT, Laser Marking equipment and stencil washing.
• Troubleshooting on ASM SMT equipment for PCB manufacturing (Solder Paste Printer, SPI, Pick & Place, Reflow Oven).
• Assist in SMT quality abnormalities.
• Provide technical direction and leadership to drive best practices and continuous improvement.
• Own engineering support to sustain and improve production yield, quality and cycle time.
• Collaborate with process engineering to define suitable parameters for prototype, NPI and mass production; provide machine programs for prototype/NPI products.
• Perform process validation/verification.
• Plan and monitor production control and OEE trends.
• Prepare and update process work instructions.
• Perform risk assessment on product and process.
• Provide tooling and fixture support to production to improve process flow.
• Liaise with vendors/customers on product-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with EHS policies and ISO standards (9001/14001/45001).
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job description

Maintenance schedule, failure analysis, maintenance & servicing of ASM SMT ,Laser Marking equipment and stencil washing.

Trouble shooting on related ASM SMT equipment for Printed Circuit Board (Solder Paste Printer, 3D SPI, Pick & Place machine, Reflow Oven & on-line debugging of SMT machines .

Assist in ASM SMT quality abnormalities.

Provide technical direction and leadership to drive/lead best practices and continue improvement projects, keep abreast of new technology and develop innovative solutions.

Own engineering or technical support to sustain and improve production yield, quality and process cycle time.

Work with process engineering team to provide suitable process and machine parameter for Prototype ,NPI and mass production, provide machine program for Prototype/NPI product to ensure transfer to mass production successfully;

Perform process validation/verification.

Responsible for planning and establishing the control of production and monitor the trend of OEE performance.

Prepare and ensure process work instructions are available and updated.

Perform risk assessment on product and process.

Provide tooling and fixture support to production in order to develop and improve process flow.

Liaise with vendors/customers on product-related issues.

Ensure all activities comply with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures to maintain a safe and healthy workplace.

Adhere to and actively support the implementation of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 standards to ensure quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety compliance.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or any relevant engineering field.

Preferably with 5 years and above relevant experience in SMT( ASM) & PCBA

Understanding of process control, product and process configuration and SPC methods is essential.

Knowledge in Solder Paste Printer, SPI, Pick & Place machine, Reflow Oven is a must.

Good leadership and organizational skills.
