We are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to join our Quality team in Malaysia and help strengthen product and process quality across our manufacturing operations.
In this role, you will lead quality investigations, resolve customer incidents, drive corrective and preventive actions, and identify opportunities to improve quality performance. You will work closely with Operations, Engineering and other cross-functional teams to address quality risks and prevent issues from recurring.
Responsibilities
- Lead customer complaints and quality incident investigations, from initial containment through root cause analysis and final resolution
- Drive 8D, CAPA and corrective action activities to address quality issues and prevent recurrence
- Partner with Operations, Engineering and cross-functional teams to identify quality risks and implement effective solutions
- Analyze quality data, trends and key performance indicators to identify recurring issues, risks and improvement opportunities
- Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives to improve yield, reduce defects and strengthen process performance
- Support the development and review of PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC and other quality tools to strengthen process controls
- Ensure product and process quality activities comply with customer requirements, quality standards and internal procedures
- Lead or support internal, customer and external audits, including root cause analysis and timely closure of audit findings
- Provide technical guidance and coaching to QA Engineers and other stakeholders on quality tools and problem-solving methodologies
- Report quality performance, customer incidents, corrective actions and improvement progress to management
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing or a related technical discipline
- 5–7+ years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering or a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience in customer complaint, quality incident and corrective action management
- Strong knowledge of 8D, CAPA, 5 Why, Fishbone Analysis, SPC, FMEA and other structured problem-solving tools
- Experience in root cause analysis, process improvement and quality risk management
- Experience working closely with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering and other cross-functional teams
- Experience supporting or leading internal, customer or external audits is an advantage
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of quality issues and drive actions through to closure
- Experience in a high-volume or complex manufacturing environment will be an advantage
