Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Diploma in Engineering or related field.

About the role

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team at our Gelang Patah, Johor facility on a full-time basis. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our manufacturing processes and products meet the highest quality standards whilst driving continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation. As a Quality Engineer, you will play a strategic role in safeguarding product integrity, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. This position offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact on our operations whilst working with modern quality systems and methodologies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain quality control procedures and standards across manufacturing operations
• Conduct regular inspections, testing and audits of products, processes and facilities to ensure compliance with internal specifications and industry regulations
• Analyse quality data and performance metrics to identify trends, root causes and areas for improvement
• Lead and participate in root cause analysis investigations when quality issues arise, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions
• Collaborate with production, engineering and management teams to develop and refine quality assurance protocols
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive quality documentation, including inspection reports, test results and compliance records
• Conduct training sessions for production staff on quality standards, procedures and best practices
• Support supplier quality management and evaluation to ensure materials meet required standards
• Monitor and manage quality-related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and present findings to management
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects and Six Sigma or lean manufacturing initiatives
• Support internal and external ISO audits and follow up on audit findings.
• Assist in maintaining ISO-related documentation and records.
• Assist in preparing audit documents and ensuring compliance with ISO requirements.

What we're looking for

• Certificate / Diploma /Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in quality assurance, quality control or a related role within electronics manufacturing company (EMS) specialising in PCBA .
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems, standards and methodologies such as ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949 or similar frameworks
• Proficiency in statistical analysis, quality tools and data interpretation techniques
• Experience with quality management software and inspection equipment
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with teams at all levels
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently whilst contributing effectively within a team environment
• Familiarity with automotive and electronics quality standards would be advantageous
