Job summary

Ichor Systems, Inc. in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join the Quality team and strengthen product and process quality across manufacturing operations.

You will lead quality investigations, drive corrective actions, and work with Operations and Engineering to mitigate risks and prevent issues from recurring. Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing or a related technical discipline.
• 5–7+ years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering within manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience in customer complaint, quality incident and corrective action management.
• Strong knowledge of 8D, CAPA, 5 Why, Fishbone Analysis, SPC, FMEA and other structured problem-solving tools.
• Experience in root cause analysis, process improvement and quality risk management.
• Experience with audits and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer complaints and quality incident investigations from containment to final resolution.
• Drive 8D, CAPA and corrective actions to address issues and prevent recurrence.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering and cross-functional teams to mitigate quality risks.
• Analyze quality data, trends and KPIs to identify recurring issues and improvements.
• Drive continuous quality improvement to boost yield and process performance.
• Support PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC and other quality tools to strengthen controls.
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements and internal procedures.
• Lead or support audits and close audit findings in a timely manner.
• Provide guidance to QA Engineers on quality tools and problem solving.
• Report quality performance and improvement progress to management.
