Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in designing and troubleshooting complex network architectures.
• Strong knowledge of wired and wireless networking (IPv4/IPv6, Wi-Fi 6, ARP, VLAN, routing, multicast).
• Knowledge in data center networking, Cloud Security, Zero-Trust or OT Security helps.
• Ability to articulate technology value to technical and business stakeholders.
• Self-starter who can work independently in Penang and meet sales quotas.
• Team player with positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical contact for the Penang market with local presence.
• Design integrated enterprise proposals that move beyond siloed products.
• Deliver consultative guidance, technical advice, presentations, and POCs.
• Prepare accurate BOMs and technical write-ups for large projects and tenders.

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced technical solutions Presales Engineer based in Penang to drive our enterprise solution portfolio. Unlike traditional product-based roles, this position focuses on designing integrated architectures that converge Networking, Security, Systems and Unified Communications (UC). As the dedicated local technical resource, you will be instrumental in demonstrating the value of complex solutions to customers in the northern region, accelerating sales cycles, and capturing emerging market opportunities such as AI infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for the Penang market, providing immediate response and local presence to secure deals and hand-hold partners through the sales cycle.
• Integrated solution design by identifying and analyzing customer requirements to design holistic enterprise proposals that align with their business needs, moving beyond individual product silos.
• Execute a consultative communication to manage extended sales cycles, deliver high-impact technical advice, presentations, and Proof of Concepts (POC).
• Preparation of accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical write-ups for large-scale enterprise projects and tenders.
• Educate customers on the benefits of next-generation or emerging technology solutions, with a specific focus on AI networking and system infrastructure, Data Center Networking, and Secure Networking like SD-WAN, SASE, Zero-Trust framework or even Operational Technology (OT).
• Collaborate with vendors and system integrators to prospecting business opportunities and maintain the necessary certifications to protect partner statuses.

Requirements

• Candidate with degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5-8 years of working experience in designing and troubleshooting complex network architectures.
• Shall have strong fundamental knowledge in wired and wireless networking solution, such as IPv4/IPv6, Wi-Fi 6, ARP, VLAN, Static and Dynamic Routing Protocols, Multicast Routing, Stacking/High Availability or equivalent, and central management.
• Knowledge in data center networking, Cloud Security, Zero-Trust or OT Security technologies will be added to the advantage.
• Proven ability to articulate technology value to both technical and stakeholder audiences, with a focus on enterprise-level outcomes.
• Receptive to working independently and support business growth.
• A self-starter capable of working independently in the Penang region while maintaining high standards of quality and accountability for sales quotas.
• A keen, positive attitude individual as well as effective team player.
