About the role
To manage purchasing and inventory replenishment activities, ensuring product availability, healthy stock levels and timely purchasing decisions. The role will analyse inventory movement and sales trends, identify slow-moving and excess stock, coordinate with suppliers, and support continuous improvement of purchasing and inventory processes.
Key responsibilities
- Manage purchasing activities and inventory replenishment to ensure product availability.
- Monitor stock levels, inventory movement and replenishment requirements across 10,000+ SKUs.
- Analyze sales trends, purchasing patterns and inventory data to support purchasing decisions.
- Identify slow-moving, excess and ageing inventory and recommend appropriate actions.
- Support product category reviews, demand planning and inventory optimization.
- Negotiate pricing and coordinate with suppliers to achieve competitive cost, quality and delivery requirements.
- Work closely with Warehouse, Sales and Management teams to align purchasing with operational and business needs.
About you
- At least Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- 3-7 years of experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Supply Chain or Inventory Management.
- Strong hands-on experience in end-to-end procurement and supplier management.
- Proven experience in local supplier negotiation, sourcing and cost management.
- Strong understanding of inventory planning, replenishment and stock optimisation.
- Experience managing multiple suppliers and large SKU portfolios.
- Proficient in Excel / Google Sheets and ERP systems.
- Able to work independently, make decisions and take ownership.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in Retail, Hardware, FMCG, Building Materials or Distribution is an advantage.
