Job summary

GENIUS COOLING TOWERS GLOBAL in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia is seeking a skilled Purchasing/Procurement professional. You will conduct market research, source suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage the full procurement cycle to ensure cost efficiency and timely delivery.

You will handle import/export activities, coordinate shipping and customs, ensure regulatory compliance, monitor supplier performance, and maintain accurate procurement records.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Logistics, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of working experience in Purchasing, Inventory Control, Material Planning, Warehouse Management, or related function.
  • Experience in import and export operations, shipping coordination, and customs documentation is an added advantage.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research and source new suppliers, vendors, and products to support business requirements.
  • Source materials, goods, products, and services while negotiating favorable pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve cost efficiency.
  • Review and evaluate existing and new product costs, quality, and supplier performance, and recommend opportunities for cost optimization and value improvement.
  • Manage the full procurement cycle, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, supplier coordination, delivery follow-ups, and ensuring timely receipt of goods.
  • Handle import and export activities, including shipping arrangements, customs documentation, permit applications, and coordination with freight forwarders, shipping agents, and relevant authorities.
  • Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, customs requirements, trade agreements, and company policies.
  • Monitor shipment schedules and resolve any logistics, customs clearance, or delivery issues to ensure timely arrival of goods.
  • Work closely with internal departments to ensure purchased products and materials meet operational and business requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with suppliers to ensure effective stock management, supplier performance, and lead-time control.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure uninterrupted supply of materials and products.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate procurement, shipping, and import/export documentation, records, and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management from time to time.

Requirement :

Minimum Diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Logistics, or a related field.

At least 3 years of working experience in Purchasing, Inventory Control, Material Planning, Warehouse Management, or a related function.

Experience in import and export operations, shipping coordination, and customs documentation will be an added advantage.

Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.

Able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

Self-motivated, proactive, responsible, and results-oriented with a positive working attitude.

Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.

Additional language proficiency (Mandarin) will be an added advantage to effectively communicate with suppliers, customers, and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.s.

Knowledge of SQL Accounting Software and other ERP/Purchasing systems will be an added advantage.

Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Willing to work overtime when required to meet operational needs.

Applicants must be willing to work in Nilai 3, Negeri Sembilan.
