Job summary

Swift Energy in Shah Alam, Malaysia, seeks an experienced Head of Procurement to lead the procurement and purchasing function across the organisation.

The role focuses on developing strategies, strategic sourcing, supplier management and contract negotiations to deliver cost savings while maintaining quality and delivery. You will collaborate with Engineering, Project, Sales, Operations and Finance teams to meet procurement requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline with strong procurement focus.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant procurement/sourcing experience, including 3+ years in leadership.
• Experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management and contract negotiation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall procurement and purchasing function.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Manage strategic sourcing, supplier selection, negotiation and contract management.
• Identify cost-saving and value-creation opportunities without compromising quality and delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or a related discipline.

• Strong experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation and cost optimisation.
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, energy, power, electrical or industrial sectors will be highly advantageous.
• Strong commercial and negotiation skills with the ability to influence suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Good understanding of procurement processes, supply chain management and supplier risk management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Proactive, results‑oriented and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
