We are seeking an organized, responsible, and proactive Purchasing Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supporting the company's procurement activities, ensuring that goods and services are purchased efficiently, cost-effectively, and in accordance with company requirements. The role requires good integrity, communication and negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate effectively with suppliers, internal departments, and other stakeholders.
Manage the procurement process to ensure the timely and cost-effective purchase of goods and services.
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best pricing, quality, payment terms, and delivery conditions.
Request, collect, and compare quotations from suppliers.
Prepare and process Purchase Orders (PO) accurately and in a timely manner.
Coordinate with internal departments to understand purchasing requirements and delivery schedules.
Monitor and follow up on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of goods.
Maintain good relationships and effective communication with suppliers and vendors.
Maintain and update supplier information, purchasing records, and procurement documentation accurately.
Monitor market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.
Prior experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or a similar role will be an advantage.
Good negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Good time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and good problem-solving and common-sense skills.
Experience in conducting cost analysis and price comparisons to support cost-saving initiatives.
Able to source and identify alternative suppliers and products when necessary.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
Familiarity with ERP systems or purchasing systems will be an added advantage.
Responsible, trustworthy, and able to maintain a high level of integrity and professionalism.
Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
