Qualifications

• Minimum 5–8 years of progressive experience in procurement.
• Experience in sourcing from other countries/regions.
• Proven track record of cost reduction and supplier management.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end sourcing processes including vendor selection, negotiation, contracting and performance evaluation.
• Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers, focusing on international suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery.
• Collaborate with merchandising, logistics, finance and operations to align procurement activities with business needs.
• Drive initiatives for quality improvement, lead time reduction and cost savings.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Lead, coach and develop the procurement team to build capability and high performance.
• Monitor market trends and supply risks; proactively mitigate impact.
• Drive sustainability and ethical sourcing in line with corporate responsibility objectives.

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Procurement Senior Executive/ Assistant Manager to lead our procurement function and drive sourcing excellence across our retail operations. This role requires a deep understanding of procurement best practices, supplier relationship management, cost optimization, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience managing procurement functions in retail and proven expertise in working with suppliers in other countries.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end sourcing process, including vendor selection, negotiation, contracting, and performance evaluation.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, with a particular focus on suppliers in China to ensure quality, compliance, and timely delivery.
• Collaborate closely with merchandising, logistics, finance, and operations teams to align procurement activities with business needs.
• Continuously evaluate supplier performance and drive initiatives for quality improvement, lead time reduction, and cost savings.
• Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and external regulatory requirements.
• Lead, coach, and develop the procurement team to build capabilities and foster a high-performance culture.
• Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply chain risks; proactively manage issues to mitigate business impact.
