Job summary

Mewah Group is seeking a Senior Procurement Executive/Engineer to join our Port Klang team in Selangor, Malaysia. You will manage end-to-end procurement for materials, equipment, and services, negotiate contracts, and build strong supplier relationships to support our manufacturing operations.

Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years in procurement, strong negotiation and analytics skills, and a proven ability to drive efficiencies across the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, supply chain, procurement or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant procurement/supply chain experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Proven ability to negotiate and manage supplier contracts.
• Strong inventory management, cost analysis and data-driven decision making.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

About the role

Mewah Group is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Procurement Executive/Engineer to join our team in Port Klang, Selangor, Malaysia. As a key member of the Procurement department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective procurement of materials, equipment, and services to support our manufacturing operations.

What you'll be doing

• Manage the end-to-end procurement process for a diverse range of materials, equipment, and services
• Negotiate and finalise contracts with suppliers to obtain the best possible terms and conditions
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers
• Analyse market trends, pricing, and supply chain dynamics to make informed purchasing decisions
• Implement and maintain effective inventory management systems to optimise stock levels
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and procurement needs
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the procurement function

What we're looking for

• Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a procurement or supply chain role, preferably in the manufacturing industry
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate and manage supplier contracts effectively
