About the role

Our Company is seeking an experienced Assistant Procurement Manager / Senior Procurement Executive to join our dynamic team in Balakong, Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in optimising our supply chain operations and ensuring the efficient procurement of materials and services. As a key member of our purchasing and procurement department, you will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and implementing cost-effective procurement strategies that directly impact our operational efficiency and profitability. Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete procurement cycle, including sourcing, supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contract management for raw materials, packaging, and services
• Develop and implement procurement strategies that optimise costs whilst maintaining quality standards and supply reliability
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and identify new suppliers to meet business requirements
• Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and service level agreements to secure competitive rates and favourable conditions
• Monitor supplier performance against key performance indicators and implement corrective actions when necessary
• Process purchase orders, requisitions, and maintain accurate procurement documentation and records
• Collaborate with operations, finance, and quality assurance teams to ensure procurement activities align with company objectives
• Analyse market trends and commodity prices to identify cost-saving opportunities and inform purchasing decisions

• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
• 5+ years of professional experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in the manufacturing or food production industry
• Proven track record of successfully managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management, and supply chain best practices
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify cost‑saving opportunities
• Proficiency in procurement software systems and Microsoft Office applications
