Job summary

Sandisk in Malaysia seeks an Engineer, Packaging Engineering (Mechanical Design) to join the Mechanical Engineering group on retail packaging and product designs, from concept to high-volume production.

The ideal candidate has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience, strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, AutoCAD), and a background in plastic injection molding and metal fabrication; teamwork and timely release of products are essential.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering plus 5 years of relevant industry experience.
• Solid knowledge in mechanical design and CAD software.
• Knowledge of plastic injection molding and metal fabrication.
• Ability to work in a team environment and release products on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Design new retail packaging and product enclosures from concept to high-volume production.
• Collaborate with outside suppliers and contract manufacturers to meet schedules.
• Ensure packaging and product designs meet customer expectations.
• Communicate design intent through drawings and documentation.
