Sandisk in Malaysia seeks an Engineer, Packaging Engineering (Mechanical Design) to join the Mechanical Engineering group on retail packaging and product designs, from concept to high-volume production.

The ideal candidate has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience, strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, AutoCAD), and a background in plastic injection molding and metal fabrication; teamwork and timely release of products are essential.

Engineer, Packaging Engineering (Mechanical Design)

As a retail/Product Design Engineer you will work in our Mechanical Engineering group on retail packaging and product designs.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design of new retail packaging and product enclosures from concept to high volume productions.

Focus will be on developing packaging and products that meet or exceed or customer's expectations.

Qualification:

REQUIRED:

B.S. in Mechanical Engineering plus 5 years, of relevant industry experience.

Solid knowledge through academic coursework or experience required in Mechanical design.

Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, Autocad).

Knowledge of engineering drafting standards and tolerance analysis.

A strong background in mechanical design with electronic consumer product design a plus.

Knowledge of plastic injection molding and metal fabrication.

Demonstrated strong work ethic.

Prior history working with outside suppliers and contract manufacturers.

Ability to work in a team environment and interact with others to release products on schedule.
