Job summary

J&T Express (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Senior Operations Analyst/Operations Specialist to analyse costs, performance and data, identifying trends and cost drivers to support strategic decisions.

The role requires 3–5 years in operations analytics, with strong Excel skills and knowledge of Power BI/SQL/Tableau. You will prepare reports and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Finance, Economics, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in Operations Analytics, Business Analytics, Cost Analysis, Performance Management or related fields.
• Experience in logistics, e-commerce, transportation or large-scale operations is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good business acumen.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience in Power BI / SQL / Tableau is an added advantage.
• Good communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyse operational costs, business performance and operational data to identify trends, cost drivers and improvement opportunities.
• Monitor key operational KPIs, including parcel volume, productivity, cost per parcel, manpower efficiency and service performance.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports, dashboards and management presentations to support business decision-making.
• Conduct cost variance analysis, budgeting and forecasting to support operational planning and cost optimization.
• Identify operational gaps and provide data-driven recommendations to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Work closely with Operations, Finance, Network, Data/IT and other departments on business analysis and process improvement projects.
• Support management in evaluating new business initiatives, operational changes and their potential cost and performance impact.
• For Team Lead level, lead and guide team members in delivering analysis, reporting and improvement projects.
