Job summary

J&T Express Malaysia is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead the HR & Admin team and oversee the full spectrum of HR functions and administrative operations. You will ensure compliance, efficiency, and alignment with business growth strategies.

You will supervise HR activities including recruitment, payroll, employee relations, and training, while partnering with management on workforce planning and expansion projects for the logistics business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR, business or related field.
• Proven HR management experience in logistics or manufacturing.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Job description

The HR Manager will lead the HR & Admin team. This role oversees the full spectrum of HR functions and administrative operations, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and alignment with business growth strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and supervise HR and Admin team members.

Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and ensure timely delivery of HR and administrative functions.

Drive continuous improvement in HR processes and team efficiency.

2. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

Oversee recruitment activities handled by HR Executive.

Ensure effective manpower planning, job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding.

Develop recruitment strategies to attract and retain talent in logistics/distribution operations.

3. Payroll & HR Administration

Supervise payroll processing handled by HR Executive.

Ensure accuracy in salary computation, statutory contributions, and compliance with labor laws.

Review HR reports, employee records, and HRIS data management.

4. Employee Relations & Performance Management

Implement HR policies, procedures, and compliance with employment regulations.

Manage employee relations, grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.

Drive performance management systems, KPI frameworks, and appraisal processes.

5. Training & Development

Identify training needs and coordinate employee development programs.

Support career progression and succession planning initiatives.

6. Administrative & Expansion Support

Oversee general administrative functions including office facilities, supplies, and vendor management.

Liaise with landlords, contractors, and external parties for expansion projects (e.g., renting new warehouse land).

Ensure smooth execution of administrative tasks supporting company growth.

7. Strategic HR Planning

Partner with management to align HR strategies with business objectives.

Provide insights on workforce planning, budgeting, and organizational development.

Lead HR projects and initiatives to support operational excellence in logistics and distribution.

Requirements

Possess at Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Banking, Human Resource Management, Business Administration/Management, Psychology, or a related field.

Proven experience in HR management within logistics, distribution, or manufacturing industries.

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of Malaysian labor laws, payroll systems, and HR best practices.

Ability to handle both strategic HR functions and hands-on administrative tasks.
