Job summary

J&T Express (Malaysia) is seeking a dedicated operations supervisor to coordinate parcel receiving, sorting, and dispatch activities at our facility in Malaysia. You will assign tasks, monitor attendance and performance, and ensure all parcels meet cut-off times.

The role requires hands-on coaching, strict adherence to SOPs, and proactive issue reporting to maintain smooth operations and safe working conditions.

• Familiarity with safety procedures and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate parcel receiving, unloading, scanning, sorting, loading and dispatch.
• Assign daily tasks and workstations based on volume and manpower.
• Monitor attendance, punctuality, productivity and performance of the team.
• Ensure parcels are processed within cut-off times and timelines.
• Monitor scanning/sorting accuracy and minimize errors.
• Provide on-the-job coaching to operation team members.

Job description

- Coordinate parcel receiving, unloading, scanning, sorting, loading, and dispatch activities.

- Assign daily tasks and workstations to team members based on operational volume and manpower availability.

- Monitor team attendance, punctuality, productivity, and work performance.

- Ensure all assigned parcels are processed within the required cut-off time and operational timeline.

- Monitor parcel scanning and sorting accuracy and minimize mis-sorting, missing scans, and operational errors.

- Provide on-the-job guidance and coaching to operation team members.

- Ensure team members follow company SOPs, safety procedures, and operational instructions.

- Identify operational bottlenecks and immediately report issues to the Assistant Supervisor/Supervisor.

- Coordinate with other teams to resolve parcel movement and operational issues.

- Monitor the condition and proper use of scanners, equipment, and operational facilities.

- Assist with daily operational reporting and data collection.

- Support implementation of productivity and process improvement initiatives.

- Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and safety at the assigned operational area.

- Perform other operational duties assigned by management.
