Job summary

IJM Corporation Berhad is seeking an experienced MEP Construction lead in Selangor to supervise execution of MEP trades, ensure timely installation, testing and commissioning aligned with project milestones, and coordinate with consultants and clients.

You will review shop drawings and method statements, manage site issues, support QA/QC and safety, guide junior engineers, and assist in progress reporting and handover documentation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent required.
• Data center construction experience is a plus.
• Willing to be stationed at Elmina, Selangor.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in construction.
• Flexibility to work schedules as needed.
• Strong background in Mechanical & Electrical work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the execution of assigned MEP trades as directed by the M&E Manager.
• Ensure subcontractors follow design quality and schedule requirements.
• Ensure timely delivery, installation, testing and commissioning of all M&E systems.
• Attend and support technical meetings, design reviews and coordination discussions.
• Review submissions including shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
• Identify and manage site issues, propose solutions, elevate risks to the M&E Manager.
• Ensure works comply with standards, codes, and project specifications.
• Track and verify progress, perform quality checks, support inspections with consultants.
• Guide and support junior engineers or site supervisors in the M&E team.
• Coordinate with QA/QC and safety teams to ensure site activities follow HSE & quality.
• Ensure integration and interface of various systems during commissioning.
• Assist in preparation of progress reports, handover documentation, and close-out processes.

Track and verify work progress perform quality checks and support inspections with consultants and authorities.

Guide and support junior engineers or site supervisors within the M&E team.

Coordinate with the QA/QC and safety teams to ensure site activities follow HSE and quality compliance.

Ensure the integration and interface of various systems function properly during commissioning.

Assist in preparation of project reports progress updates and handover documentation.

Support the close-out process including defect rectification final testing and handover to client operations.

Requirements

Possess a Degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent.

Data center construction experience is a plus.

Willing to be stationed at Elmina, Selangor

Min 6 years+ experience in construction

Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule as needed.

Preferred candidate has a stronger background in Mechanical & electrical work.
