Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Diploma-qualified engineer to supervise and coordinate MEP trades on data center construction, ensuring compliance with drawings, specs, quality standards and project schedules. Based in Iskandar Puteri, Johor.

You will review shop drawings, method statements, and coordinate interfaces between MEP systems, monitor progress, and ensure safe, efficient site execution. Experience in data center projects and testing/commissioning is advantageous; ability to collaborate

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in MEP coordination and site supervision for building or industrial projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate assigned M& E trades for data center construction works, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, quality standards and project schedules.
• Assist in reviewing shop drawings, method statements and coordinated drawings to ensure proper site execution and interface coordination between all MEP systems.
• Monitor site progress, manpower deployment and installation activities to ensure works are carried out safely, efficiently and in accordance with project requirements.
• Inspect and verify MEP installations to ensure compliance with QAQC requirements, authority regulations and data center operational standards.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, vendors and internal teams to resolve technical and site coordination issues effectively.
• Support testing and commissioning activities including pre-commissioning inspections, system checks, testing documentation and integrated system testing.
• Attend coordination and progress meetings and prepare daily or weekly site reports to monitor project milestones and support timely completion and handover.

REQUIREMENTS

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.

Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in MEP construction coordination and site supervision for building or industrial projects.

Experience in data center construction projects and testing & commissioning activities will be an added advantage.

Good technical knowledge in ACMV, Electrical, Fire Protection, Plumbing, BMS, ELV or ICT systems.

Familiar with local authority requirements, industry codes of practice and technical standards related to MEP installations and commissioning.

Able to coordinate with consultants, subcontractors and vendors during installation, testing and commissioning stages.

Willing to be based at Iskandar Puteri, Johor.
