Jora Malaysia is seeking a Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Coordinator to oversee site M&E works, ensuring installations meet drawings, specifications and project timelines. You will coordinate with the main contractor, M&E subcontractors, consultants and clients, review drawings, monitor progress, and maintain proper documentation while ensuring safety and quality.

The M&E Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supervising mechanical and electrical (M&E) works at project sites, ensuring installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, and project timelines. This role acts as the key liaison between the main contractor, M&E subcontractors, consultants, and clients to ensure smooth execution of all M&E-related activities.
Key responsibilities
Coordinate and supervise day-to-day M&E site works including electrical, ELV, HVAC/ACMV, fire-fighting, plumbing, and lift systems.
Review and check construction drawings, shop drawings, and material submissions against approved specifications.
Liaise with M&E subcontractors, consultants, and clients to resolve technical issues and coordinate work sequencing with other trades (civil, structural, architectural).
Monitor site progress against the project schedule and elevate delays or discrepancies.
Prepare and submit progress reports, site inspection records, and testing & commissioning documentation.
Ensure all M&E works comply with relevant codes, safety standards, and quality requirements.
Attend site meetings, coordination meetings, and support inspections/defect rectification.
Assist the M&E Project Manager in tracking material deliveries, RFIs, and approvals.
Maintain proper documentation for as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and warranty records.
About you
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
2-3 years of relevant working experience in M&E coordination within the building/construction industry.
Familiarity with M&E systems: electrical, ACMV, fire protection, plumbing & sanitary, ELV systems.
Ability to read and interpret M&E drawings and specifications.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); familiarity with AutoCAD is an advantage.
Independent, detail-oriented, and able to work under project deadlines.
