Job summary

IJM Corporation Berhad is seeking a Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing (MEP) engineer to coordinate, install, integrate and commission MEP systems for data center projects in Iskandar Puteri, Johor.

You will monitor ACMV, BMS, and building systems, review shop drawings and technical submissions, and oversee quality, safety, and timely completion while coordinating with consultants, subcontractors and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field.
• 4+ years of experience in construction field.
• Data Center construction experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical and communications skill.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support the installation, integration and commissioning of MEP systems including external facility equipment (OFE) such as power and cooling systems.
• Monitor and assist in the implementation of air-conditioning (ACMV) and Building Management Systems (BMS) to ensure proper operation, environmental control and system reliability.
• Oversee ACMV systems including chilled water piping, CRAC/CRAH units, ducting, airside distribution and ventilation systems.
• Ensure effective integration of Building Management System (BMS) with HVAC, power, fire protection and monitoring systems.
• Review shop drawings, technical submissions and material specifications to ensure compliance with project standards and engineering requirements.
• Monitor construction progress and ensure quality of workmanship, timely completion and adherence to safety regulations.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors and vendors to resolve technical and coordination issues during design and construction.
• Plan and participate in functional testing, system integration, and commissioning activities for mechanical and electrical systems.
