Job summary

Jora Malaysia, based in Penang, seeks an experienced M&E Site Manager to oversee HVAC, plumbing, electrical and related works on-site.

You will coordinate between consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and authorities, ensuring progress per schedule and budget. Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 8+ years in construction and be willing to base in Batu Kawan, Penang.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in construction, preferably site-based.
• Proficient with MS Office applications.
• Familiar with AutoCAD and CAD tools.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Own transport and willing to be based in Penang, Batu Kawan.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing day-to-day construction site operations, managing personnel and resources.
• Ensuring activities are in line with the project plan, budget and schedule.
• Maintaining relationships with owners, clients and community members.
• Ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.
• Overseeing quality of work by contractors and subcontractors.
• Lead site M&E engineers and supervisors.
• Prepare and monitor work programs, manpower and material delivery schedules.
• Monitor M&E budgets and verify progress claims, variation orders and as-built drawings.
• Coordinate between consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and authorities.
• Resolve site technical issues promptly with consultants and subcontractors.

Oversee and manage all M&E works (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical, ELV, etc.) at the site

Coordinate between consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and authorities

Resolve site technical issues promptly in coordination with consultants and subcontractors

Ensure that M&E works progress according to approved schedule and specifications

Prepare and monitor work programs, manpower deployment, and material delivery schedules

Monitor M&E project budgets and control costs, and verify M&E work progress claims, variation orders, and as-built drawings

Lead site M&E engineers and supervisors

Responsibilities:

Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the construction site, including managing personnel and resources.

Ensuring that all construction activities are performed in accordance with the project plan and within budget and schedule constraints.

Maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders, including owners, clients, and community members.

Ensuring that construction activities are performed in compliance with building codes and regulations.

Overseeing the quality of work performed by contractors and subcontractors.

Conducting regular meetings with the construction team and other stakeholders to provide updates on the project's progress and address any concern.

Requirements:

Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Minimum 8 years working experience in construction industry, preferably with site experience.

Computer literature with knowledge of MS Office applications.

Familiarity with AUTOCAD and similar computer aided design tools.

Committed and passion for working in construction and engineering field.

Pleasant personality with good analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.

Possess own transport and must be willing to be based in Penang, Batu Kawan.
