Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end movement of goods, inbound and outbound.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, transporters, warehouses and brokers.
• Prepare and manage invoices, packing lists, and shipping instructions.
• Classify products with correct codes and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Ensure imports/exports compliance, permits and certifications as needed.
• Calculate duties, tariffs and taxes for international shipments.
• Troubleshoot customs clearance, delays, and documentation issues.
• Maintain records and stay audit-ready at all times.
• Collaborate with procurement, production and warehouse teams.
• Review and improve logistics procedures to cut costs and time.
• Handle ad hoc tasks and liaise with local customs office.

Job description

Manage and monitor the end-to-end movement of goods, both inbound and outbound.

Coordinate with freight forwarders, transporters, warehouses, and customs brokers to ensure timely shipment and delivery.

Prepare and manage all shipping documentation including invoices, packing lists, and shipping instructions.

Classify products using the correct codes and ensure compliance with international trade regulations.

Ensure full regulatory compliance for all imports and exports, including obtaining necessary permits and certifications.

Calculate duties, tariffs, and taxes applicable to international shipments accurately.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to customs clearance, shipment delays, and documentation discrepancies.

Maintain accurate records of all shipping activities and ensure audit readiness at all times.

Collaborate with procurement, production, and warehouse teams to ensure alignment and smooth operations.

Continuously review and improve logistics procedures to optimize cost, time, and compliance.

Any ad hoc tasks assigned by management or company.

Deal with local custom office department.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a logistics, shipping, or freight forwarding role.

Familiarity with customs clearance procedures and regulatory requirements.

Strong understanding of shipping documentation and code classification.

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

Effective communication and coordination skills.

Ability to handle pressure and resolve shipment issues swiftly.

Willing to work in Perai, Penang.
