Job summary

Shipco Transport Inc. in Penang is seeking a Senior LCL Export Coordinator to support day-to-day operations, coordinate with carriers and warehouses, and ensure timely shipments.

You will monitor inquiries, bookings, documentation, and follow SOPs to optimize trade lanes, with English and Malay required and Mandarin preferred for Mandarin-speaking clients. A Diploma/advanced qualification in logistics or related field and at least 1 year of import/export experience are expected; EPF/SOCSO and

• Attend to local and overseas inquiries pertaining to rates and bookings.
• Coordinate bookings, carrier liaison, and container status with carriers and warehouses.
• Ensure shipping documents are prepared within required time frames and follow SOPs.

Description

The main function of this role is to assist customer in day-to-day, liaise with carrier, transporter, warehouse operator, fumigation, and ad-hoc task. Monitoring customer support, quotation and maintaining the volume and trade laneEnsure all procedures and time frames to be followed as per agreed SOPs and workflows & must be always adhered to.

What You'll Do...

• Attending to local and overseas customer’s inquiries pertaining to rates
• Respond promptly to customers’ inquiries on booking confirmation, and shipment follow up sailing confirmation, continuous monitoring of shipment till cargo arrival
• Responsible for bookings preparation and tele- marketing for local customer cargoes.
• Booking arrangement and follow up container status with carriers of containers.
• Dealing with warehouse over container status (change of vessels/departure date etc).
• Preparation of railing instructions and liaising with warehouse/truckers
• Follow up with shippers of any discrepancy in packages.
• Ensure all necessary shipping documents are in place within the given time frame
• Coordinate internally with sales and documentation team

What You'll Need...

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Logistic/Transportation or equivalent.
• Required language(s): English, Malay, Mandarin (Candidates who are fluent in Mandarin are preferred because the role requires candidates to interact with Mandarin-speaking clients)
• At least 1 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Preferably experience specialized in freight forwarding NVOCC industry
