Jora Malaysia is seeking a laboratory technician to perform chemical analysis by XRF, including sample preparation for materials submitted by internal and external customers. You will conduct tests such as specific gravity, LOI and fired coefficient of expansion, and support ISO 17025 audits.
You must maintain good housekeeping, keep equipment in good working order, participate in 5S activities, and follow safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Responsible in carrying out the chemical analysis by XRF, including sample preparation for various materials submitted by both internal and external customers.
Carry out tests such as specific gravity, LOI and fired coefficient of expansion.
To assist for testing and pass in ISO 17025 Audit.
To maintain good housekeeping and cleanliness in the laboratory.
To maintain laboratory equipment in good working condition.
To actively involved in 5S activities and continuous contribution on Kaizen.
Follow safety procedures to ensure safe working environment.
To co-operate and work as a team member with all levels of staff
Involved in 5S activities in CRC

Good knowledge of ceramic materials and ceramic technology.
Knowledge of ceramic raw material testing and analysis.
Familiar with X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) spectroscopy.
Proactive and able to take initiative.
Cooperative and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Good discipline and responsible working attitude.
Minimum SPM qualification, preferably with a Diploma in Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 15 years of relevant working experience in the ceramic industry; extensive experience is preferred.
Relevant training or hands-on experience in X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) spectroscopy is an added advantage.
