Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a laboratory technician to perform chemical analysis by XRF, including sample preparation for materials submitted by internal and external customers. You will conduct tests such as specific gravity, LOI and fired coefficient of expansion, and support ISO 17025 audits.

You must maintain good housekeeping, keep equipment in good working order, participate in 5S activities, and follow safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ceramic materials and ceramic technology.
• Experience with XRF spectroscopy is preferred.
• Experience in a laboratory environment is desirable.
• Proactive and able to take initiative.

Responsibilities

Technical & General Skills Requirements

• Good knowledge of ceramic materials and ceramic technology.

• Knowledge of ceramic raw material testing and analysis.

• Familiar with X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) spectroscopy.

• Proactive and able to take initiative.

• Cooperative and able to work effectively as part of a team.

• Good discipline and responsible working attitude.

Professional / Technical Qualification(s)

• Minimum SPM qualification, preferably with a Diploma in Engineering or a related field.

• Minimum 15 years of relevant working experience in the ceramic industry; extensive experience is preferred.

• Relevant training or hands-on experience in X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) spectroscopy is an added advantage.
