Job summary

Jora Malaysia is recruiting a laboratory technician to assist engineers in hands-on operations, including cross-section, SEM/EDX, and Dye & Pry processes. The role involves sample preparation, data recording, and maintaining a clean lab environment with 5S practices.

The ideal candidate has at least an SPM or Diploma in Engineering or equivalent, with 1 year of related experience. Experience in Physical Failure Analysis (SEM/EDX, FTIR, CSAM, X-ray) is a plus.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least an SPM or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Material Science), Science and Technology or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of working experience in the related field is required.
• Experience in Physical Failure Analysis such as SEM/EDX, mechanical cross-section, FTIR, CSAM or X-ray is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers to complete work activities timely, efficiently and satisfactorily.
• Perform hands-on tasks including Cross-section, SEM/EDX and Dye & Pry processes.
• Prepare test samples and record data.
• Maintain lab cleanliness and orderliness, and carry out 5S independently.
• Perform any other responsibility as assigned.

Able to work independently and carry out 5S.

Perform any other responsibility as assigned.

Job Requirement :

Candidate must possess at least a SPM or Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Material Science), Science and Technology or equivalent.

At least 1 year(s) of working experience in the related field.

Preferably Non-Executive specializing in Science & Technology /Laboratory operations or equivalent.

Experiences in Physical Failure Analysis are added advantages, especially on SEM/EDX, Mechanical cross-section, FTIR, CSAM, X-ray.

Good communication skill and well versed in basic Microsoft Office applications.
