Tosoh Advanced Materials Kemaman, Terengganu is seeking a laboratory technician to conduct routine chemical analyses and manage sample lifecycles. You will support shift planning, perform equipment validations and ensure compliance with safety and 5S standards.

Tosoh Advanced Materials – Kemaman, Terengganu
To conduct routine laboratory testing (MSA, SEM, ICP, powder analysis) within set timelines.
To manage sample lifecycles, including collection, documentation, storage, and safe waste disposal.
To perform daily and monthly inspections on lab equipment, consumables, reagents, and wastewater monitoring logs.
To attend handover meetings led by Production Shift Supervisor for shift activity planning and plant status updates.
To run ad-hoc testing on raw materials, investigate process abnormalities, and support urgent analysis request when required.
To assist Production Engineer in developing, verifying and updating laboratory SOPs based on quality plans and instructions.
To execute advanced equipment validation (XRF, XRD, Microtrac) and troubleshoot basic instrument failures.
To report any laboratory equipment irregularities to the staff and supervisors and perform immediate corrective actions when necessary.
To lead, mentor, and conduct operational or refresher training for analysis related.
To manage laboratory document controls and ensure all records are systematically updated.
To strictly follow TAMM safety practices and fully comply with company and government safety regulations.
To maintain laboratory 5S compliance and continuously contribute to improving work practices through Kaizen programs.
To actively participate in company activities planned by HRGA or other departments.
To perform any other duties assigned by Supervisors.
Education: A Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Chemistry or any related Science/ Technical discipline.
Relevant background: Candidates with all levels of laboratory experience are encouraged to apply — from fresh graduates with relevant laboratory exposure to seasoned technicians experienced in chemical analysis.
