Boost Juice, Southeast Asia’s largest juice and smoothie chain, seeks a Senior Interior Designer (Retail Fit-Out) in Kuala Lumpur to lead CAD work, 3D modelling and space planning for flagship stores and regional outlets. Job Description:
CAD Work and 3D modelling: typically create detailed drawings, floor plans, elevations, and other technical documents using computer-aided design (CAD) software, 3ds Max, Sketch up, Vray Rendering, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
Material Selection: responsible for researching and selecting suitable materials, finishes, furnishings, and fixtures for projects.
Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and manufacturers to gather information and obtain samples.
Space Planning: support & participate in space planning activities, including analysing functional requirements, determining furniture layouts, and optimizing the efficient use of space. Create furniture plans and assist in coordinating with contractors and architects.
Design Presentations: support & involved in preparing and delivering design presentations.
Create & support in visualizing design concepts through renderings, mood boards, and 3D models, explaining the design rationale and addressing feedback from internal team and landlords.
Site Visits and Coordination: Visit project (stores) sites to assess progress, take measurements, and ensure design implementation aligns with specifications.
Collaborate with contractors, architects, and other professionals to coordinate project activities.
Support & collaborate with Project team in various aspects of the design process and in executing design concepts.
To liaise with mall/landlord's design and project team in matters pertaining to fit-out guide & requirements, site progress, inspections, and matters pertaining to site handover, site fit-out progress, and store openings.
To liaise and support with internal Boost design & project team members in ensuring smooth delivery of the project.
To guide and monitor Junior Designers project and drawings related matters.
Qualifications/ Requirements:
Degree/Diploma in Architecture/ Interior Design or equivalent.
Proficient in AutoCAD, 3DsMax, Sketch Up, Vray Rendering, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator or other relevant design software.
At least 3-4 years of experience in interior design preferably within retail, F&B, commercial, or multi-outlet environments.
At least 2-3 years of project management including project coordination, site supervision, and project delivery.
Strong knowledge and experience in preparing and reviewing design, construction, detail and technical drawings.
Possess problem solving and analytical skills to address challenges, such as project timelines and project costs and materials selection.
Strong creative and practical skills in space planning, design development, customer traffic flow, functionality, and commercial requirements.
Possess a strong design sense, aesthetic awareness, and attention to detail, with the ability to translate concepts into practical and commercially viable designs.
Self-disciplined, proactive, responsible, and possesses strong work ethics.
Able to coordinate and communicate effectively with landlords/mall management and internal project teams.
Able to work independently while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Able to read, write & converse in English, Bahasa Melayu. (Bahasa Indonesia & Thai, will be added advantage).
Willing to travel for site visits, project coordination, inspections, and store openings when required.
