Job summary

Vitality Boost Sdn Bhd is seeking an Assistant Finance Manager to establish the finance function for a new F&B brand in Malaysia. Based in Kuala Lumpur, you will oversee accounting setup, prepare timely financial reports, and ensure regulatory compliance with SST, tax, and corporate filings.

You will manage accounts payable/receivable, cash flow, and internal controls while liaising with auditors and tax consultants. Strong English, detail orientation, and team leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree.
• 5 years relevant experience with 2 years in a Senior Executive role handling a full spectrum of finance
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills with good written & spoken English.
• Ability to work as part of team in a fast pace, continually changing environment.
• Ability to identify areas of improvement and to develop and implement process improvements and SOPs within the Finance area.
• Ability to ‘manage upwards’ and report directly and/or indirectly to the Managing Director and owner
• Certification (CPA, ACCA or relevant) is a plus.

• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of management and financial reports in compliance with approved accounting standard
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of regulatory requirements including SST, Withholding Tax and Corporate Income Tax
• Oversee the full spectrum of finance (Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables and General Ledger) and day-to-day operational finance matters
• Cash flow management
• Continual assessment and make recommendation to improve of financial processes and controls as we expand
• Financial reporting and analysis of figures to recommend areas of improvement

In line with this expansion, we are looking for a qualified, highly capable, experienced, result driven and motivated Assistant Finance Manager to join our Finance Department as a pioneer in setting up the Finance function.

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you will have responsibility to support the Chief Financial Officer in managing the Finance Department for Malaysia. A key responsibility is to ensure timely and accurate reporting on all aspects of finance so that the appropriate strategic business decisions can be made. The position is based in our Kuala Lumpur Office.

The successful candidate will have the following attributes:

Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree.
