Job summary

Job description

Senior Project Executive (Retail Fit Out)

The Role:

To support the Project Manager in delivering retail store fit-out, renovation, and refurbishment projects on time, to quality standards, and in line with company requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support Project Manager on new store openings, renovations, relocations, and refurbishments
• Coordinate project activities from design to handover
• Track schedules, progress, and outstanding action items
• Flag risks and issues to the Project Manager
• Oversee defect rectification and store opening preparations
• Work with Store Design Team on drawing preparation and revisions
• Prepare and submit documents for landlord approvals and track statuses
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and consultants throughout the project
• Monitor material deliveries and installation against approved drawings
• Coordinate maintenance and repairs for existing stores
• Respond to Operations Team maintenance requests and keep records
• Maintain project documentation, meeting minutes, and action lists
• Handle permits, purchase requisitions, quotations, and invoice verification

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field
• At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience in retail fit-out, interior renovation, or construction project coordination
• Proven track record in retail store development and fit-out projects within shopping mall environments
• Familiar with local authority submission processes and regulatory requirements
• Solid understanding of retail fit-out workflows and construction methodologies
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and shop drawings with ease
• Strong coordination and follow-through skills, with a keen eye for detail
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• Willingness to travel within Malaysia and Singapore as required
• Fluent in spoken and written English
