Job summary

Kopi Kenangan Malaysia is seeking a Project Designer (Interior Design) to lead interior space planning, store layouts, mood boards, and material selection for rapid F&B rollouts and renovations in Petaling Jaya on a fixed 6-month contract.

You will drive spatial strategies, curate aesthetic details, and ensure compliance with mall guidelines while delivering high-quality store concepts on time.

Qualifications

• Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture.
• Fresh grads welcome; prior F&B or commercial fit-out experience is a major plus.
• Proficient in AutoCAD & SketchUp, fluent in English, and detail-driven under tight rollout timelines.

Responsibilities

• Craft functional retail floor plans and circulation flows for fast-paced F&B rollouts.
• Handpick materials, lighting, furniture, and color palettes balancing brand aesthetics and budgets.
• Navigate mall fit-out guidelines, M&E clearances, and local codes to ensure compliance.
• Conduct site visits to audit dimensions and direct final aesthetic setups before opening.

We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and highly driven Project Designer (Interior Design) to join our retail expansion team on a fixed 6-month contract. In this role, you will take ownership of interior space planning, store layout concepts, mood boards, material selection, and aesthetic execution for our rapid F&B store rollouts and retail renovations.

Work location: Petaling Jaya.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Education: Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture
• Experience: Fresh grads with strong portfolios are welcome; prior F&B or commercial fit-out experience is a major plus.
• Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD & SketchUp, fluent in English, and detail-driven under tight rollout timelines.
• Commitment: 6-Month Fixed Contract (Full Commitment Required)

Job Role:

• Spatial Strategy: Craft functional retail floor plans, kitchen/counter circulation flows, and 3D visual concepts for fast-paced F&B rollouts.
• Aesthetic Execution: Handpick materials, lighting, furniture, and color palettes that balance brand aesthetics with project budgets.
• Technical Compliance: Navigate mall fit-out guidelines, M&E clearances, and local building/fire codes to keep projects compliant.
• Site Realization: Conduct hands-on site visits to audit dimensions, inspect build quality, and direct final aesthetic setups before the doors open.
