About the Role PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk (MAP Fashion1) is seeking a talented Project Design Executive to join our dynamic Design & Architecture team. This role will responsible for supporting and coordinating end-to-end store design and project execution, covering new store openings, renovations, relocations, and refurbishments. The role ensures that design concepts are effectively translated into practical store environments while meeting brand standards, project timelines, quality, and budget requirements. It works closely with internal teams, architects, contractors, vendors, and landlords to ensure smooth and timely project delivery.
Manage and coordinate store design and renovation projects from concept development through completion.
Develop design layouts, space planning, and project proposals in line with brand guidelines and retail requirements.
Coordinate with internal teams, landlords, architects, contractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
Prepare design drawings, BOQ, project schedules, and other technical documentation as required.
Conduct site surveys and monitor project progress to ensure design, quality, timeline, and budget requirements are met.
Review shop drawings, material specifications, finishes, fixtures, and construction details.
Ensure all stores are delivered according to approved design concepts, brand standards, and visual requirements.
Support new store openings, relocations, expansions, renovations, and refurbishment projects.
Identify design or construction issues and coordinate timely solutions with relevant stakeholders.
Monitor project costs and support budget control throughout the project lifecycle.
Maintain proper documentation of project drawings, approvals, revisions, and completion records.
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related design discipline from a recognised institution
2-4 years of professional experience in architectural or design project management, preferably within the retail, hospitality or commercial sectors
Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite or similar industry-standard tools
Strong understanding of architectural principles, building codes, and design standards applicable to Malaysia
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present ideas clearly to diverse audiences
Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality design outcomes
Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming design challenges
Team player mentality with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Knowledge of sustainable design practices and environmental considerations is advantageous
