Job summary

Boost Juice is seeking a Senior Human Resource Executive (Contract) to lead payroll administration, HR compliance, and workforce support in a dynamic retail team. The role will manage recruitment, onboarding, performance processes, and HR reporting with discretion for confidential data.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years in HR/Administration, strong statutory knowledge, and excellent communication skills to collaborate across departments.

Qualifications

  • This role requires a degree in HR/related field and at least 5 years in HR/Administration.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, Employment Act, and labour laws.
  • Experience with payroll for large workforces and statutory compliance.

SENIOR HUMAN RESOURCE EXECUTIVE (CONTRACT)

Requirements (Qualification/Experience/Skills)

This position may be converted to a permanent role based on performance and business requirements.

Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Diploma in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Psychology, Law, or a related discipline.

Minimum of 5 years' experience in Human Resources and Administration.

Strong knowledge of HR best practices, HR processes, the Employment Act, Labour Laws, and other relevant statutory requirements.

Experience in managing payroll for a large workforce is an advantage.

Familiarity with payroll software, particularly Info-Tech System, is an added advantage.

Sound understanding of statutory compliance and HR regulatory requirements.

Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently while handling confidential information with discretion.

Resourceful individual with excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Able to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Adaptable, flexible, and responsive to changing organisational needs.

Key Responsibilities
Payroll Administration

Manage the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of salaries, overtime, allowances, incentives, bonuses, claims, statutory deductions, and other payroll-related payments.

Prepare and process inter-branch manpower cost allocations and maintain complete and accurate payroll documentation.

Ensure payroll processes comply with statutory requirements, company policies, and internal HR procedures.

Maintain accurate payroll records and perform payroll updates, corrections, and reconciliations within established timelines.

Handle payroll-related enquiries and resolve employee payroll issues promptly and professionally.

Process final salary payments, tax clearance, and recovery of overpayments for resigned employees.

Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on the payroll system whenever required due to statutory or system enhancements.

Recruitment & Onboarding

Support the full recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, offer preparation, issuance of employment letters, and reporting arrangements.

Monitor and manage manpower establishment to support the Company's operational requirements.

Verify and ensure all new hire documentation is complete and complies with the required onboarding checklist.

Coordinate new employee orientation programmes and conduct exit interviews for resigning employees.

Performance Management, Learning & Development

Support the annual performance appraisal process in accordance with the Company's performance management framework.

Coordinate employee learning and development initiatives, including training administration and related documentation.

Follow up and process HRD Corp (HRDF) training grant claims for operational training programmes.

Administer employee compensation and benefits in accordance with approved company policies, including insurance, leave, allowances, and other employee benefit programmes.

Employee Relations & HR Advisory

Provide guidance and support to employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment-related matters.

Assist in managing employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and issues relating to terms and conditions of employment.

HR Administration & Reporting

Manage day-to-day HR and office administrative activities, including document management, filing, requisition processing, and staff deployment for maintenance or operational requirements.

Prepare and submit monthly HR reports, management reports, and statistical analyses within the required timelines.

Schedule meetings, interviews, appointments, and other HR-related activities as required.

Projects & Continuous Improvement

Support and participate in HR projects, new initiatives, process improvement activities, and operational enhancement programmes as assigned by Management.

Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Superior or Management from time to time.

External Parties & Staff Management

To work closely with suppliers, consultants, and service providers (Recruitment agencies, Training providers, Insurance agents, etc.) and keep updating them on the latest needs in order to perform related tasks.

To nurture good relationships with employees as well as external parties by providing excellent service and well-supported documents/products.

To maintain a good relationship with all vendors supplying goods or services and ensuring they are reliable, punctual, and provide good quality items for competitive prices.

To deal with relevant authorities as and when needed.

Others

To understand the latest requirements within human resources matters (Employment Act, etc.).

To support implement all policies, activities, procedures, and instructions as relevant and required by the management.

To meet staff and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

To support & execute plan actions from risks and opportunities assessment.

To undertake any and all other duties and responsibilities as so instructed by the superior.
