Job summary

Hotel Meliden is seeking an experienced Human Resource Executive to oversee HR operations across its multi-company portfolio in Sabah. The role covers recruiting, onboarding, payroll coordination, policy development and employee relations to ensure compliant, professional HR services.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in HR, strong knowledge of Malaysian labour laws, and fluency in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant HR experience.
• Experience managing HR matters for multiple companies is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian labour laws and HR practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken).
• Independent, organised, proactive and able to handle multiple tasks.
• Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee matters.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate HR operations across multiple companies.
• Handle recruitment, interviewing, onboarding and employee management.
• Prepare employment contracts, offer letters, warning letters, HR memos and other HR documents.
• Manage staff attendance, leave applications, payroll coordination and employee records.
• Develop, implement and monitor HR policies, procedures and company regulations.
• Handle employee relations, disciplinary matters and performance management.
• Ensure HR practices comply with Malaysian labour laws and statutory requirements.
• Provide HR support and advice to management across different business units.
