We are looking for an experienced, people-oriented Human Resources Manager to oversee the full spectrum of HR functions in Malaysia. The successful candidate will develop and implement HR policies, manage employee relations, support recruitment and retention, ensure compliance with Malaysian employment requirements, and partner with management to build a positive, productive workplace.
Manage the full spectrum of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, training, and offboarding.
Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and practices aligned with company objectives and Malaysian employment requirements.
Manage recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, selection, and offer negotiations.
Work closely with department heads to identify manpower requirements and workforce planning needs.
Oversee employee onboarding and ensure new employees receive the necessary orientation and support.
Manage employee performance appraisal processes and assist managers with performance-related matters.
Handle employee relations, grievances, disciplinary matters, and workplace conflicts professionally and confidentially.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.
Work closely with payroll and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, statutory contributions, and employee benefits administration.
Ensure HR practices comply with applicable Malaysian employment laws and statutory requirements.
Coordinate training and development programmes to support employee growth and organisational needs.
Develop initiatives to improve employee engagement, retention, and workplace culture.
Prepare HR reports, manpower analysis, and other management reports as required.
Advise management and employees on HR policies, employment matters, and workplace practices.
Support management in organisational development, restructuring, and other HR-related projects.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
5–8 years of relevant HR experience, with experience in a managerial or senior HR role preferred.
Strong knowledge of Malaysian HR practices and employment requirements.
Experience managing the full spectrum of HR functions.
Good knowledge of recruitment, employee relations, performance management, payroll, and HR administration.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Strong leadership and stakeholder-management skills.
Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia. Additional languages are an advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with HRIS/payroll systems.
