Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Sales Engineer in Malaysia to drive the sale of Fire Control Security solutions to new and existing clients.

You will understand customer needs, develop tailored solutions, and present them to stakeholders, working with the sales team to convert leads into opportunities and meet targets. The role requires a mechanical engineering background, strong communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to travel for site visits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of sales/marketing experience in direct selling for CFS solutions in construction/building market.
• Self-motivated and target-driven with minimal supervision.
• Sales development experience in CFS at construction market and customer base is a plus.
• Ability to forecast pricing, quotations, and budgeting.
• Strong negotiation, communication, analytical, and relationship-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new sales opportunities leveraging technical knowledge of CFS systems.
• Conduct site visits and audits to assess customer requirements and propose solutions.
• Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
• Utilize CRM to track interactions and sales progress.
• Collaborate with engineering and technical teams for feasibility and compliance.
• Develop long-term relationships with customers and address concerns to foster loyalty.
• Regularly report on sales activities and performance.
