Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan GMRecruitment Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced finance professional to manage the full set of accounts for a Malaysia entity and support the month-end close process. You will handle reconciliations, journal entries, SST, and corporate tax while coordinating with HQ and tax agents.

The role requires strong English skills and familiarity with ERP systems; Mandarin is preferred for working with China teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Experience in full set of accounts and month-end closing preferred.
• SAP experience is an advantage; willingness to learn SAP.
• Knowledge of SST, corporate income tax and e-Invoice preferred.
• Willing to work overtime during month-end closing.
• Proficient in English; Mandarin preferred for HQ/China teams.

Responsibilities

• Handle full set of accounts and daily finance operations for one Malaysia entity.
• Perform bank reconciliation, journal entries, interest accounting and other accounting transactions.
• Handle month-end closing, including revenue recognition, expense analysis, accruals, material accounting, asset profit/loss and tax closing.
• Manage customer and supplier account clearing and follow up with HQ and relevant departments on account discrepancies.
• Handle e-Invoice processes for two entities, including sales, import and service e-Invoices, submission and issue follow-up.
• Prepare and verify sales discount reports, revenue details, supplier payment details and customer Statements of Account (SOA).
• Calculate, submit and arrange payment for SST, and verify relevant tax documents.
• Handle corporate income tax, tax instalments and other tax matters, working closely with tax agents for tax filing.
• Support annual audit, tax audits/reviews, transfer pricing documentation and company secretarial matters.
• Conduct fixed asset and physical asset counts, including semi-annual and annual stocktaking.
• Maintain and release SAP internal transfer pricing and follow up on related processes.
• Organise and maintain accounting vouchers, payment documents and other financial records.
• Support China/HQ audit and Group Finance requirements by providing financial data, reports and explanations in a timely manner.
• Perform other finance and accounting duties assigned by the superior.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Experience working in a China-based company is preferred. Candidates without such experience but who understand Chinese corporate culture are welcome to apply.
• Experience in full set of accounts and month-end closing is preferred.
• SAP experience is an advantage; candidates who are willing to learn SAP are welcome.
• Knowledge of SST, corporate income tax and e-Invoice is preferred.
• Willing to work overtime during month-end closing, particularly around the last few days of each month.
• Good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and coordinate with HQ and internal departments.
• Proficient in English; Mandarin is preferred for communication with HQ/China teams
