Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare and review management accounts, financial reports, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Ensure accuracy of accounting records and compliance with company policies and applicable accounting requirements.
• Perform budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and financial performance analysis.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support management decision-making.
• Review AP, AR, GL, intercompany transactions, and other accounting activities.
• Support cash flow monitoring and working capital management.
• Maintain strong financial controls and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Coordinate with SAP for accounting, reporting and financial data analysis.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, external auditors and tax agents.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced and hands‑on Finance Manager to support our finance operations, reporting, controls, and business analysis.

This is an individual contributor role suited to someone who is comfortable being hands‑on with accounting and finance activities while also providing meaningful financial insights to management.

The successful candidate must have SAP experience and be able to read and write Chinese to effectively support finance transactions, documents, and stakeholders involving our Greater China operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare and review management accounts, financial reports, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Ensure accuracy of accounting records and compliance with company policies and applicable accounting requirements.
• Perform budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and financial performance analysis.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support management decision-making.
• Review AP, AR, GL, intercompany transactions, and other accounting activities.
• Support cash flow monitoring and working capital management.
• Maintain strong financial controls and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Work extensively with SAP for accounting, reporting and financial data analysis.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, external auditors, tax agents and other service providers.
• Review and understand Chinese-language financial documents, invoices, reports and business correspondence.
• Support finance requirements across multiple business entities and markets as required.

Non-Negotiable Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Solid experience in financial accounting, management reporting and analysis.
• Previous experience at Finance Manager, Assistant Finance Manager, Senior Accountant or equivalent level.
• Strong hands‑on SAP knowledge and experience.
• Must be able to read and write Chinese.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Strong Excel and financial analysis skills.
• Comfortable working as an Individual Contributor rather than managing a large finance team.
• Based in Malaysia.

Preferred:

• Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Experience supporting multiple countries/entities, particularly Malaysia, China and/or Taiwan.
• Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, food, consumer goods or a multinational environment.
